Handful of Things

Lately, I have the urge to shop online a lot. Knowing that I have hundreds of to-do list and a lot of priorities over priorities, this post is an attempt to make myself better. Some while ago I made a list of things that I want (but still not what I need). So here is another one.

1. Kara Dark Brown Shoes by Amble Footwear

I’ve been wearing flats and sneakers for ages, but lately, I feel a need to trade some with a more formal one. The leather loafer brown shoes are made by Bandung based local brand, and it’s looking pretty fine for me.

2. Map by Wislawa Szymborska

Szymborska, which I don’t know how to exactly pronounce her name, is The Nobel Prize winning author from Poland. Map is the collection of almost 250 poems of her and something that I really want to read for a long time ago. If you haven’t landed yourselves on Szymborska’s poem, do yourself some treat here.

3. Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words

The xkcd creator, Randall Munroe created the book in 2015. Things Explainer explains itself very well, using only drawings and 1000 words, Munroe created an interesting books of things around us, like microwaves and tectonic plates!

4. Ultrasonic Diffuser from Organic Supply Co. & Essentials Oil from Klen & Kind

Since moving to a new house last March, I still have no plants and greenery around. Though it’s not long since I move, but the air seems different and feels way hotter than usual. I got sick easily and want to do something different from usual. I really want to try using a diffuser and essential oils for a while. I bought a couple of Surprise Box from Klen & Kind before for gifts, but I haven’t try the products myself. I understand that I really don’t need it in wiser and wider perspective, but it doesn’t stop me from wanting it :))

5. Skincare from Sandara Jiwa

This is the hardest things to resist (and I might purchase it tomorrow, haha). My friend told me about it and highly praise it for its simplicity and result. A local brand from Bandung, Sandara Jiwa uses organic ingredients without preservation to make their skincare products. I’ve been eyeing the black pitera product called The Forbidden and a body/hair mist called Sanubari Laut. Though the brand incorporated a really nice story into their social media account, I find difficulty to order since there is no information about the price tag, website, or anything. But, they left a single WhatsApp number (+62 818 0823 5325) and an e-mail (sandarajiwa@gmail.com) if you’re interested to reach them.

So, that’s helped a little bit. Next time you want to have something, maybe making a collage out of it isn’t so bad :P Good night, knick-knack lover.
