It is common for everyone, at some point of your life, feel empty. Despite the fact you already had given everything and giving everything to everyone, and every time. But sometimes, you just need to keep looking ahead and then maybe find the light. The beauty. The never-ending wonder.

You might forget the pain, and continue crawls back up. Or maybe you might close the curtain and start fading to the darkest corner. All the cards are obvious, and everyone knows the name of the game. And maybe somewhat miles from you, a stranger holds a card you’re hoping to show up. The card that shows you the light. Like the I block in Tetris

Proses menulis naskah/script film memang tidak berbeda jauh dari proses menulis prosa lain, perbedaan terbesarnya adalah porsi dialog dan action yang harus dibuat sedemikian rupa. Buat saya menulis script adalah mencemplungkan semua imajinasi dalam sebuah sudut, sebuat penglihatan, memberikannya jiwa, meniupkannya nafas dan  untuk akhirnya membagikannya kepada orang-orang asing. Orang-orang asing yang mungkin membawa pulang secuil jiwa saya untuk disimpan dan dikenang di dalam saku. Atau mungkin hanya memandang gelap ke arah layar tanpa tahu bahwa jiwa saya ada di sana.

Dari sekian script film pendek yang pernah saya ketik (including some which come alive, and some which stay as it is), ada beberapa yang pengerjaannya relatif cepat namun sangat berkesan. Salah satunya adalah Interrogation (2009), bumper untuk Bioskop Kampus 9009. Dibuat sewaktu masa kepengurusan fungsionaris saya dan hanya menghabiskan waktu semalaman (atau beberapa jam dalam kenyataannya :P) untuk ditulis. Tapi amat sangat meninggalkan kesan yang mendalam (salah satu alasannya adalah pemutaran perdana bumper ini yang ditujukan untuk Cakru 2009 yang lucu-lucu). Saya suka detail-detail kecil, dan ini pertama kalinya saya menuangkannya ke dalam naskah. Satu lagi hal hebatnya adalah walaupun saya tidak terlibat dalam proses syuting atau editing filmnya sama sekali, mood, warna, dan hasil keseluruhan film ini sangat sesuai dengan apa yang terbayang di kepala saya ketika menuliskan naskahnya.

September is the lucky nine, but maybe not for everyone (well I do believe October will come with much more happiness). Here’s something that excited me the past few weeks.

September is a month well known for the source of many happiness. Yeah, it is because of new season of TV Serials galore. Though, I’m a little disappointed that Love Bites got cancelled on their 9th episode and Sherlock has been delayed to 2012, it’s still a whole new chapter with Glee season 3 (20/9), the first all star cycle of America’s Next Top Model (14/9), season 7 of How I Met Your mother (19/9) and of course Survivor South Pacific which will feature one of my favorite player Ozzie (14/9). Heaven.

And who can resist the temptation of the variety show Running Man. Here’s my favorite player :P
