Every people sail out to the ocean of life in search of their own adventure. Some followed their destiny, live prosper enough to finally reach their desired goals. Some found an intersection, turned the other direction and continued on a different adventure. And some, found himself stuck on a journey, he looked around and realize that it is too late to accept that he no longer had life-along partner to share the adventure.

 

Up, up, and away, Carl Fredericksen flies, to reach the dream. To get the adventure he always waits for.

Pixar’s UP brought up the new height standard to every animated movie, it is called SIMPLICITY. At the first 10 minutes, I already cried. The 4 ½ minutes of silent moment portrayed the Carl and Ellie’s live was an Oscar material and what people called a picture perfect of life. I cried, a lot (as every PIXAR film I watched, I always cried on the first place). Two simple dreams have just made an adventure way more exciting and beautiful than every PIXAR films. I didn’t say that this is the best PIXAR film (I still say it is Toy Story), but it is the most heartwarming and heart melting so far. The idea of house that fly doesn’t quietly original, but what made it so beautiful is that, they made the most simple story on PIXAR history and still able to deliver an amazing film. Another great thing about the movie is they may not have Randy Newman anymore, but Michael Giacchino is one hell of a great musician. He just made the saddest scoring of this decade. I just have to rose up once again, and giving a standing applause, for ten films in a row. I just wonder when I can cope out with all of you, but believe me, someday I will.

Recommended Consensus: Everyone who reviewed this movie must be lost of words to describe the adventure they had at the cinema and what they can take home afterwards. Too beautiful to be missed.

Keep the children inside of you, as my old friend said to me. I did. I believe that every people are destined to walk on their own adventure. There’s a reason why God gave us a chance to present in this uneternal world. We just too selfish to notice and too late to realize. We fill our immortal life with what we call ambition. Live happily ever after, having a lovely husband, getting a job we always dream of, spoiled our own life to what we called prosperity. What we don’t notice is maybe out there, there’s lot of people needed our little dirty hand. They needed more than what we thought, and how selfish we are for not realizing it. We just a small particle in this galactic, how stupid we are to think that we’re better than anyone else.

Every beauty pageant identically related to ‘saving the world’ and ‘world peace’. We laughed to see the answer back then. But maybe, this is what beauty is all about, realizing that we don’t live alone on this so called planet. We supposed to interact with other people, not only with our relatives and friends, but also with people we haven’t met before. People said don’t be so naïve, but maybe being naïve is what we need today to solve the problem we experience everyday. Start with yourself, and maybe you can change the entire neighborhood, or even better, a country. And next step, you can maybe change the world.

Saya pengen kerja di United Nation. Membantu semua orang yang bisa saya bantu. Mungkin ini pekerjaan yang paling cocok buat saya. Pekerjaan tanpa balas jasa. Haha, hanya angan-angan yang suatu saat mungkin terwujud ataupun menguap ditelan malam. Tapi, siapa yang tahu. Pada akhirnya, manusia hanya bisa berharap kan?

The Most Magical Film of The Saga (Yet)

David Yates and the gang of Harry Potter is back again on the 6th installment of the series. Oke, kalimat pendapat pertama, saya suka.

Banyak early review tentang seri ini bilang bahwa film ini adalah Oscar material. Tapi beberapa teman saya malah memperingatkan bahwa filmnya gk bagus-bagus amat. Tapi kalau kamu suka film drama, pasti suka film ini. Soalnya, terbukti memang porsi action yang seharusnya ditampilkan oleh para Death Eaters yang nyelonong masuk Hogwarts itu malahan hanya ditampilkan sedikit sekali.

Saya bukan penggemar film drama. Saya juga bukan penggemar film action. Sejak awal saya menggemari film, saya tidak pernah mengkategorikan film-film kesukaan saya dengan genre. Jadi, sayapun menonton Harry Potter tanpa banyak perkiraan. Dan hey, It’s the first time I said that this Harry Potter film is magical! Entah mengapa, tipe penggarapannya mendadak serius, sinematografinya bagus dan filmnya mengalir wajar.

Walaupun banyak hal-hal di filmnya yang tidak jelas bagi para penonton filmnya yang bukan pembaca bukunya. Seperti kehadiran Fenrir Greyback yang cuma muncul di poster pinggiran jalan padahal wajahnya nampang di sepanjang film tidak dijelaskan sama sekali. Hubungan Tonks dan yang tiba-tiba sudah menikah saja. Ataupun betapa misteriusnya The Half Blood Prince yang ternyata di filmnya malah ‘hanya’ berakhir dengan kalimat Snape, “Yes, I am the Half Blood Prince.”. Toh di akhir film saya merasa filmnya lebih dari sekedar menghibur.

Emma Watson also, still looking gorgeous and above expectation, deliver a great role being Won Won’s best friend who’s getting jealous because her best friend is actually snogging other people. Tapi saya menganggap Ginny masih kurang cantik buat jadi pacar seorang Harry Potter. Tokoh Lavender Brown justru mencuri perhatian saya, muka genit dan kelakuan gk banget itu justru membuat saya mengingatnya sampai akhir film. Dan Luna Lovegood, wow! I just actually fall in love with her. Pujian saya alamatkan kepada Draco Malfoy yang diperankan baik-baik saja oleh Tom Felton. Yang menarik adalah, dia bahkan pake jas waktu bangun tidur. Scene favorit saya, tentu saja, adegan di toko Fred & George Weasley.

Hal yang membuat saya suka seri kali ini adalah di film ini, entah mengapa saya merasa Yates sedikit melupakan unsur komersial seri Harry Potter ini yang membuat pemotongan-pemotongan dari bukunya justru terlihat rapi dan tidak mengganggu. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dengan penggambaran yang tadi saya sebutkan, di mana tampaknya si penonton harus sedikit banyak membaca bukunya untuk tahu lebih jelas tentang banyak hal. After all, I do love this film. Walaupun pada akhir filmnya, saya menyesal pernah membaca buku ketujuhnya. Karena kalau saya tidak tahu lanjutan ceritanya, pasti saya berteriak-teriak sumpah mati ingin menonton lanjutan filmnya ketika si Snape dan geng Death Eaters berlalu meninggalkan Hogwarts.

Well, don’t just dying to know what will Yates bring in the latest installment? Tapi tentu saja harus menunggu setahun lagi.

Juli 2008.
Satu tahun yang lalu.
I remember the day as clearly as crystal. Keceriaan, banyak tawa, dan sedikit banyak tangis haru. Saat itu, saya mencurahkan seluruh hidup saya untuk momen itu. Banyak yang bilang saya menyebalkan, banyak sekali masalah yang datang, banyak juga yang menyemangati but in the end, it’s all worth the diamond. Saya tersenyum lebar ketika hari itu selesai dan saya menyalami semua orang, mengucap terima kasih berulang-ulang.

Ijul. Bravo. Deja. Sella. Lukman. Hardi. Laras. Aban. Aftah. Feni. Surya. Koyim. Farhan. Koordinator-koordinator yang luar biasa. Juga teman-teman luar biasa yang terus menyemangati. Insan. Hafidh. Yudhi. Mangasi.
Saya menangis di syukwis ketika melihat credit title di akhir penayangan Video Dokumentasi. Orang bilang saya aneh karena tangis itu, tapi saya justru merasa aneh kalau saya tidak menangis saat itu.

Karena semua orang yang ada di sana, telah membantu saya untuk mendapatkan sebuah memori yang mungkin sampai bertahun-tahun nanti, akan terus saya ingat. Sometimes people just don’t recognize that the small thing they do is the greatest thing they are giving to other people’s life.

Juli 2009.
Setahun kemudian.
I wore a different shoes (almost as hard as the one you’re wearing), but the fun remains the same. The excitement still tremble my body and my heart just moved faster that day. Saya kembali merasakan keceriaan itu, melihat wajah-wajah yang walaupun panik penuh peluh, keringat dan juga kerutan-kerutan di dahi tapi juga penuh tawa. Melihat kalian semua, membuat saya bersemangat dan membuat saya merasa bersalah kalau saya sampai mengeluh dan tidak ikut tertawa bersama kalian. Saya tahu, bahwa saya tidak ingin perasaan ini dimiliki oleh sembarang orang, dan saya bersyukur kita semua tidak salah memilih. I cry again, because one year later, maybe you will wear my shoes and feel the same feeling as I do right now.

Noy, gile.. You’ve done great so far. Tapi masih ada besok. Jadi jangan senang dulu. Haha! Makanya, jadikan besok itu hari terbaik dan terindah yang kita punya. Jangan lupa kata-kata gue, ya. Wisuda Juli adalah wisuda bersenang-senang. Jadi besok, go have some fun :)
