More Things Ahead

A lot of things happened in Ramadhan this year. I unconsciously wrote something on the Notes of my phone and only realized I wrote it recently. I thought it will be a waste not to record it here because I think I’m being honest with my words. I personally always love this kind of writing the most :3

It’s always felt good to tick off some to-do lists before the holiday greets (though I don’t familiarize myself with the concept of the holiday anymore). Ramadhan flies so fast this year, a lot of things to do and a lot of stuff to accomplish. I don’t even know how I can get through, but when I’m looking back to the stuff I’ve done I’ve always reminded myself: human are made to accomplish something that seemed impossible. I’m grateful though that I kept busy for the month, scrapping anything left for the better tomorrow. Pile of works and busy days are always considered blessings.

Though I know that Idul Fitri this year will be harder than usual, I wish that I can do well. I will tell myself thousand times that I can be a civilized and sociable person. It’s hard to be around strangers in unfamiliar places, who may or may not judge you with their eyes. I know I’m in panic mode and over thinking a lot of stuff that doesn’t happen yet, but that’s what I do lately. Maybe because I used to think that the holiday is the time to let go of some of the stress. Indulge myself with loud music, become one with a bed, and doing anything that I want to be doing. Last year, I digitized a ton of my handwriting. Without pressure, without deadlines, without the necessity to make it perfect or worries whether it will sell well or not. It’s a stress-reliever and maybe a way to get back on the mood again.

However, let’s try harder then. After this month, we might face a harsher reality.

The truth is, I was working on a lot of things at that time. I can’t decide on which to prioritize first and sometimes, got no confidence to do it all. I wing it on the last second and shaping the path to finish it after Ramadhan, at least I know what I’m going to do with it.

Including this logo. My colleague from work was asking for a logo for her upcoming brand and I thought I need some extra cash at that time. I read the brief and I suddenly wanted to make a handwritten logo. It fits the brand description and in the end, I have fun trying to find the right combination.

Although my favorite didn’t get selected and my mustard & blue combo color was revert back to black and white :( I still learned a lot. I think I want to find another handwriting project after this :))

This one is still a work in progress and I’m still trying to figure it out bit by bit. But I hope it will turn good later and I can share it more with you.

The very definition of working space :))

It’s a relieve that I still can function normally lately. I set up a desk in one of the rooms in the house last week. After working exactly on the floor all these time, I finally have a desk! Though the desk is more like an intern desk and the chair is still the one from my dining set table, it still felt like an achievement, haha. I will tell you more about it later.

So here’s to more exciting things ahead. Let’s hope for more laughter and tears from a really good laugh.
