Fun in The Sun

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s been a while since I wrote a random list, so here it goes again. These last months have been hard for me, as I find it really depressing. But then, life goes on. I think that now I have all the time in the world, why wasting it? I adapt to the routine well, get up in the morning, set up my own workstation anywhere in the house and start doing stuffs. I response faster to customer’s request and have time to really study a lot of things. It is weird that I finally check some to-do lists that I have been planning since the beginning of the year by only doing it on a day or two. I think this is the power of idle hands :))

Love, love, Summer love.

Last May was my productive month, I started to play around with Illustrator once again, find lights in it, and can’t stop about it. I pitch a lot of ideas and our Summer Collection is born. We tested it out by applying the pattern to the Mug first and then goes to fabric printing by tweaking some of the patterns. Cannot wait to get the result this week. We hope to get all the products done before Idul Fitri.

As I said before, I don’t have a fix workspace on my home because I mostly use a laptop and sometimes carry a small bag (which always includes notebook, stationary, snacks, water bottle, etc). My favorite spots to date are my dining table and the floor of my sister’s room :)) My house is quite old, so there are so many stuffs on it that you can’t seem to move. I was planning to repaint and change the interior of one of the empty room last year, but my dad was against it. So the dream of having my own workspace is still pending then. But, if I’m allowed to dream about future office, Bando Office is the perfect fit. Messy and stuffy? Who cares! It’s fun anyway :3

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his April marks a whole bunch of things for me. Weezer’s 4th self-titled album was out. The long awaited 2nd album of The Last Shadow Puppets was out. And any other things I’m about to tell you later on.

It is officially Spring on the other part of the world, some friends intend or already visited Japan and snapped their first Sakura experience. My favorite photos come from one of my Instagram crush Maria Marie or better known as Cestmaria. Suddenly, I have this instant love with pink!

Crush, crush, crush.

Apart from the Spring fever, Weezer’s White Album is a personal favorite. LA has been the hometown for their whole career and Weezer has been writing a lot of songs about beach. But this Summer themed album is worth to talk about. I genuinely love most of the songs! And did I tell you I dig this cover album a lot? :3

Speaking about Summer, lately I’ve been inspired by:

synchronized-swimming

Synchronized swimming! Look at those blue and those bright uniforms. Absolute crush.

summer-drinks

Summer drinks with soda, mint, fruits, umbrella, and cool looking straw. It’s color party!

For the tropical country like Indonesia, which experienced summer-like-season almost all year, I think it is obvious that I’m drawn to it.

Until later then, sunshine believer!

Sunday Story

It’s raining all day this Sunday. I always consider that rain is a bless. So, I spent today by…

Playing Chvrches’ version of What Do You Mean? on the loop.

Designing e-mail for Customer Abandon Cart for Kawung Living.

acolorstory

Swooning over and passionately waiting for A Color Story app to be released in Android.

dmz

Browsing around for DMZ Tour in South Korea.

mail

Thinking about sending mail and postcard to friends and family.

So, I consider it a nice Sunday!

In Between

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]’m glad that this week I’ve become a little bit more productive. I think this is the first week I’m actually crossed all things in my to-do list for a really long time. Lately, it’s harder to focus on things, as work life has been exhausting and I’m having this issue that makes me want to do many other things outside work :))

I’m kind of fall in love with designing newsletter, that I decided to activate Kawung Living Newsletter. We gathered e-mails list over the year and put a subscription box in our website, but we’ve never actually send any e-mails! :)) Now that I’m getting a hang of how newsletter works, let’s see if this will be an effective way of promoting. By the way, this Holiday Marketing Tips from MailChimp is just the best!

So, ready for a Random Round Up?

Since 2016 is running faster and faster, this is the perfect time go free calendar hunting! This beautiful simple calendar from Harley Quinn and Co. featured beautiful brush calligraphy and ink drops. You can download this for free or give $2 donation to World Animal Protection.

savethedamndate

Bought the domain SAVETHEDAMNDATE.com. There is not much on it right now, but this is a personal project that I want to make next year. If you read Pricing & Template, you read it right. Some say that you don’t need to spill too much on personal project until it really launched, but yeah, what the hell :))

jessica-jones

Jessica Jones dropped on Netflix this week! I’ve been binge-watching it this weekend and the show is just awesome~ I love Krysten Ritter! Over the years, I’ve watched her being supporting acting and cameo for many popcorn movies (The Confession of a Shopaholic, She’s out Of Your Leagues, etc.) as well as TV series (Breaking Bad, The Blacklist, etc.). She got bigger role by starring in Don’t Trust The B in Apartment 23. Now, Ritter plays a Marvel’s superhero! I mean, everybody deserves a big break and Ritter just got a great one :’) This piece is a great interview with Ritter about playing Jessica Jones. As for the series itself, I really want to rank up all TV series featured a female superhero. Since I haven’t watch Supergirl, I think I’m going to save it up for another time :P

A funny satiric art over pen and Post-It. Lovely!

And last, the best of it all. I forgot whether I’ve mentioned it before, but since it’s so awesome, it’s worth unlimited share! The Nostalgia Machine is a perfect website to visit on weekend when you-want-to-do-something-but-can’t-think-of-anything (true story). I’ve been watching to The Corrs Unplugged and Destiny’s Child Mix Video all week. Precious gem! (Hint: Year 2000 is one of the best)

That’s all for this week. Good night, precious treasures.
