End of The Year List

The period between Christmas and New Year usually is the most ‘uncertain’ one. It’s like hanging between two close holidays. Unlike 2016 which felt really fast, 2017 is running really slow for me. Looking back, I did many things and also lost as much. Anyway, these are things that caught up my eyes lately.

To be honest, I have these things with ceramic. I’ve been collecting local ceramic products for these past years and really happy when I visited Dib(uang) Sayang at Kineruku earlier this year. I’ve been taking home products from Kar Jewelry, Tacit, and others. I also never missed any Clearance & Reject Sale from Tekuni. So, finding Lisa Junius’ works is an instant joy. I love the perfect indigo products and the dreamy vibe that comes from it. I fell in love with these vases and these are certainly my favorite of them all.

Floating Colors

October went by so fast and we need to face the last week of October. I want this week to stay longer, but here we are, in the fast-moving world. Trying to survive.

So, I sum up a list of exciting things to check out below.

I have been in love with the newest Kapadokya collection from Safomasi. I wrote about them before and still fascinated by how they translate travel experience into everyday objects. The color combinations in this collection are wonderful. The combination of bright pink, orange, and blue can be a little bit tacky, but the end result is surprisingly gorgeous. My favorite piece would be the Fairy Chimney series.

The Pumpkin Season

The last two weeks were pretty exhausting for me. A lot of things happen in a short time and I cannot remember days and dates anymore. It’s a really nice feeling to be home again, waking early in the morning still tucked in a blanket staring at the ceiling while doing nothing. Finally, taking a deep breath.

October is my favorite month, simply because it is my birthday month. So, here’s a couple of things to cheer up the mood.

As a loyal Google Chrome user (who doesn’t?), I fall into the ‘tab abuser’ category. I love opening a lot of tabs and clicking a lot of related links. Palettab is beyond belief, the Chrome Extension combines fonts from Google Fonts and color palette from ColourLovers to create party every time you open a new tab. I’ve been using the extension for a long time and still inspired every single time.

The Color Splash

I’ve been down with the flu for the past week, so the writing of #30postsfor30 doesn’t go so well lately. But, since tomorrow will be another long weekend, here’s a list of colorful things that I’ve wanted to share.

The 12000 ft exhibition called the Color Factory opens its door in San Fransisco this August. The exhibition is totally made for color lovers and such a beautiful place to play (and take a picture) with. Not only that the place holds beautiful colored windows (and floors), it also has a yellow ball pit and a room full of confetti! I’ve been following Oh Happy Day’s blog since a long time ago and completely amazed by their works this time. Read the story behind the making of Color Factory here.
